A running nose for a lifetime

when the nose
is blocked
and only yellow
slimy
stuff
runs out,
into your lungs
and you get
a headache
from the clocked sinuses
and your chest
aches
from coughing.
then
it’s time to call
your job
and make yourself
even more
ill
than you
actually are
to be highly confidential
and trustworthy
that they
believe you.
but they will
talk behind your back
in any way
until this slimy
yellow stuff
runs out of their mouths
because they follow
a line
that drives them
to work.
every day
and every night.
to fulfill their duty
even when they are
almost
collapsing
to find out
at the end
that this was
not worth
at all
and they get
down,
depressed,
and lonely
to realise
that life
is rather more
than going to work
day by day.
what a bullshit
when this idea
comes too late
